Last week I bought a vintage travel typewriter and today was the first time I've actually used it!
I sat outside in the sun, and decided to use it (it needs some sort of purpose!) to make to-do lists. I figure this may actually be useful for a number of reasons:
1. It allows you to be more focused. Typewriters don't have Twitter on them to distract you.
2. You have to type slower (they keys get muddled if you go too fast) which makes you have a little more thought time.
3. The list looks different from everything else, so it stands out in the paperwork.
I'm considering trying my little typewriter in a park, although it is a little noisey. Perhaps a few of us with travel vintage typewriters could start a writing group!
