Rockalily Updates - Lipstick and More

You may have seen on twitter that lipsticks are being sold again, so do take a peep if you're missing your favourite lippy.

The salon has growing and growing which is exciting! We now have our first batch of regulars, who we know by name, and love having a catch up with everytime they come in. It makes work a pleasure!

On the horizon will be more staff, extended opening hours and lots more giggles. We have started having pop-up services, with nail art on some Saturdays....who know what else will be here??

Rockalily Lipstick Update

When I sourced the lipstick for Rockalily, I knew the product was awesome. It certainly proved to be the case, when everyone else started loving it too.

After a year of kissable lips, I closed the lipstick brand to open Rockalily Cuts, my hair salon, and was a little overwhelmed at how regularly I got messaged to reorder.

However, I have recently seen that another company have sourced lipsticks from the same factory, and it got me thinking... I don't have time to dedicate to the Rockalily Lipstick brand, but would anyone be interested in buying the same product, without the cool branding?

No cute box, labels etc, but the same awesome lipstick that we all loved?

It would be on a smaller scale, but would mean our lips could be kissable once again. The lipsticks could be purchased from Rockalily Cuts for £13, or posted to you for £16.65 (darn Royal Mail and its massive price hike!

Let me know your thoughts! You can let me know in the comments, on twitter (@rockalilylondon) or facebook (www.facebook.com/rockalilylondon). Since this got mailed out on the mailing list, I have got a mailbox full of people saying yes!

What story does your lipstick tell?

I wear different shades of lipstick, usually depending on my mood!

My daily slick of confidence comes from Rockalily Rockette Red, as it just does what I want it to. It is a classic red, suits my skin and teeth, and is reliable.

However, if I'm going somewhere that I feel I need to be a little more 'respectable' or 'grown up' I tend to revert to Rockalily Roulette Red. It is a subtle difference, but sometimes its all in the mindset. Perhaps it is also linked to the fact that Mother Rockette wears Roulette!

Pompadour Pink usually gets worn when I'm feeling a little more punky, and its a nice change from my every day red.

I may embrace my darker side once in a while with Man's Ruin, and my party lipstick is often Sailors Beware. My first date lipstick is Vintage Vixen.

I love that lipstick gives me a chance to play with my make-up, as I rarely change the other elements of it.

Please don't say I'm the only person who ascribes events/moods/setting to their lipstick choices?!

Rockalily Limited Edition Shades - Preorder List for Feb

This morning the Rockalily Mailing List got told about the new delivery of Limited Edition Shades. Sadly they have already all sold out!

I had a preorder list open in Jan, which has now closed. If you are wanting a limited edition shade, you will have to be patient! I find being on the mailing list means you have more luck securing one!

I am not completely happy with the swatch quality here, Mermaid for example, is much more coral (with a hint of neon) which doesn't show here. So do feel free to nose around the Rockalily review section

Mae Hem, which hasn't officially been launched yet, can be purchased secretly here.
