Yesterday was the anniversary of my Dad's death, and it's always an odd day - the feeling that I should be doing/feeling/experiencing/noting something in someway. My stock response to confusing emotions like that is to get a tattoo!
So I called local parlours in the morning, and managed to get an evening appointment with a shop on the same road as the salon. Perfect.
I decided to use a Sailor Jerry design as the starting point, always a smart choice for me when choosing an idea impulsively.
The postitioning was certainly a challenge, to rest my body in the right way so that the tattooist could work around the curved area. Made it interesting!
Terrible pictures but the lightening was very low!
The swollen and slimey part is the start of the week which is the least fun after getting a tattoo!
