Today I had a personal conflict......which oddly I also ended up talking to someone on twitter about too. A lovely tweeter mentioned that they didn't know how I had the energy and drive to look good every day. Now, I definitely don't agree that I look 'good' every day, but yes, I do make effort each and every day.
I believe that when I've put a basic level of effort into my appearance, I leave the house feeling better. I have more confidence, and perhaps more of a spring in my step. I'm ready to take on the world, with a smile.
However today, I'm wearing one of my 'lazy' outfits. The skirt is a tad big, but its soft and comfy, and easy. I wear bandanas to make casual outfits look more 'put together'.
Yes, I felt fine today, but just fine. Here arrives my conflict. Part of me thinks I shouldn't have casual or easy days.
It takes the same amount of time to get dressed in something kick arse, as it does to put on jeans and a t-shirt.
So, do I get ultra strict with myself and lose the 'casual' and 'blah' clothes from my wardrobe....do I lose this outfit because it just feels fine, not amazing?
Do I become someone who wears amazing dresses each and every day?
How do your outfits make you feel?
