I felt a bit insipred by Megan Draper in Mad Men today, so I've gone for a rather late 1960s look.
Sometimes people fall into the trap of thinking that you have to wear a certain hem line or shape to be inspired by an era. So for example, to look 60s inspired should I be wearing a mini?
But look around.....there has never been a decade where everyone wears the same 'look' each and every day. When 1999 ended, did we all throw out our 90s clothes? Clothing spreads over decades, and styles get mashed together. People follow different trends with different tastes and budgets. Don't be afraid to mix it up a bit! I actually find it can make you look less 'fancy dress' too.
