Rockalily Roulette Wedding: Shelley and Steve

This is Shelley and Steve getting married. Don't they both look divine? Now I don't know Shelley or Steve, but I do know what is on Shelley's lips - Roulette Red!

Shelley was Rockalily's first bride, and she has been awesome enough to share some photos and details of the day!

Shelley and Steve met in 2004 at a 'Pimps and Hos' night. Steve arrived complete with a white suit and leopard print hat, as well as his best mate was dressed as his 'ho' in a mini dress and wig. Even this get-up didn't put Shelley off, and 7 years and 2 children later they are still together.

They had agreed not to get married, as both had been married before. Shelley obviously proved too much to resist as Steve broke the agreement and proposed on her 35th birthday (he whisked her away to a spa weekend).

When planning the wedding Steve and Shelley decided to go with a post-war theme. Everything was done on a budget - using ebay and friends and family helping to make decorations. Shelley made her own invites, place cards and orders of service, as well as making her own hair flower. Shelley's mum made her dress!

Shelley arrived in a 1953 Ford Zephyr Six!

They exited the chapel to a church organ version of Frank Sinatra's "Love & Marriage"! Very awesome.

Shelley emailed me and said ''Firstly I wanted to say thank you for your amazing lipsticks - as you know I wore Roulette Red on my wedding day, and it was the third red lippy I'd bought trying to find the perfect shade - I should have come to you first!!!'' which made me beam. It feels like a privilage to be part of someone's special day...even in such a small way!
