Rockabilly and Vintage in Brighton

My family are from Brighton, and I studied at university there for four years, so I definitely love returning for a visit! Yesterday I was whisked off as a birthday present for a nice day out shopping. A perfect way to start the week.

Brighton is great for vintage finds - and it is definitely a place you can still get a bargain. My favourite was Snoopers Paradise, but I did stumble on a new addition which also tickled my fancy.

Back when I was last in Brighton the North Laine Antique and Flea Market was out on the street, and I was never that impressed with it. But its found a home inside! And it rocks.

It was like a mystery cavern, and full of affordable vintage goodies.

It was time for cake! Well actually I didn't go for cake, I went for scrambled eggs on toast.

For a more Rockabilly touch of Brighton I headed to Get Cutie. I loved that they have expanded their ranges since I had last visited - men's ties, baby clothes, belts etc.

I may have accidently stumbled into a tattoo shop ...'for 'research' of course! I actually really liked two of the books - from Nikki and Jack, and may have got swept up and booked myself in for a little Vegas inspired tattoo. Watch this space!

This was my favourite find and I am now determined to save up and own one. I actually fell in love with the beige poodle lamp inside, and they sell it online! I must own it. I must.

It is an Abigail Ahern lamp and costs £195. I must hatch a plan to own one....any ideas?
