Reflecting on the year gone

I was talking to a friend on the phone, having a general catch up of our week, and she mentioned that she was feeling pretty excited about the New Year. That although in theory its nonsense, there is something rejuvenating about Jan 1st; the chance to start a new diary, and plan a new year. We even went as far to say we were now the age where we almost preferred to start Jan 1st without a hangover. Is this what being in your 30s means?

The end of a year is also a time for reflection on the year just gone. I've had a really tough year this year, but by gosh, look its December, and I'm out the other end! When I look back into my journals from the start of the year, it's almost like a life time ago. So the end of the year is a time to celebrate (we survived!), reflection (would I have changed any of my choices?), and planning (where do I want to head next?).

If you have a bit of time off over the festive season, be kind to yourself, and get ready to start 2016 with a bang!
