Perhaps I've lived under a rock but I had never realised that Irregular Choice do a men's range! Why should women get all the fun?
I don't think it's just a cliche that men are judged on their shoes. There are fewer options for men to express themselves through their style generally, so the few avenues they do have perhaps get given more weight.
A smart and clean shoe can make a potentially scruffy outfit qualify as stylishy casual.
Accessories are the place to be bold and perhaps more playful, particularly if you're restricted by strict work wear guidelines.
Apparently men spend more on shoes than women do now, but generally they have less options to spurge on. Personally I love the effect of a good shoe on a guy; it shows the world that they are interested in their style- from head to toe.
