If you know me, you may know that I have a rather overactive mind, and therefore I find it very challenging to have down-time. I find it hard to lounge in bed, and find it nigh impossible to just do nothing.
As I own my own business there is always something to do, so it takes a strong will to say 'stop'.
One of the ways I relax is visiting coffee shops. They're like my tiny little space in the world where I can rest my mind. Rather paradoxically, they are also the spaces I can get very productive, I develop a focus that I can battle to achieve elsewhere.
When I worked from home I used to visit coffee shops most days, whereas now I have the salon they have become more of a treat again.
I'm not paying £3.50 for a cup of coffee, I'm paying for a rest. Bargain!
How do you relax and switch off?
