Beauty Blogger 6: Rhi from The Other Side of Cool
Can you tell us a bit about your relationship with make-up?
I didn't really get into makeup until a year or so ago. I just used the same cheap foundation, mascara and eyeliner for too long. Then by accident I discovered the world of beauty blogging and it really opened my eyes to what is out there. Now I love trying new brands, experimenting with colours and finishes- finding what really suits me and makes me feel more... me!
Have you developed a staple look? Can you describe it?
My staple look is matte skin with slightly flushed cheeks, quite thick winged eyeliner and lashings of mascara! It's simple and a little bit rocky and worn basically everyday.
Why do you love make-up?
I love makeup because its so versatile. You can use it to look like your natural self, just hiding the odd flaw, or you can completely transform your look. You can change colours and style to match your mood, your outfit or the weather. Its a way to express yourself, stand out, blend in, feel comfortable and most importantly- have fun!
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging with the intention of being a normal woman, with a normal budget just discovering whats out there. I don't have the money to buy high end every week and a lot of people are the same, it's nice to read blogs full of designer clothes and expensive makeup but it's not always relatable. I wanted to be a normal woman, making the most of what I have.
Describe your blog:
It has a confused sense of style, just like myself! I talk about beauty, fashion, music, health- things that are important to me, things that I am still discovering and learning about. I'm passionate about having fun, finding the best deal and being happy and I like to think that comes across on the page.
